There can be many ways to promote your event on the Internet. There can be internet marketing, email marketing, affiliate programming and other tools by which you can spread the word around the web. Apart from marketing point of view where you become money-centric personality and people recognize you as a salesman or marketer, binding yourself to the positive and social mind of a person can be more fruitful. To create awareness and to enter into the mind of people is much better than just asking them to buy something or to do something.
Here are some of the ways by which not only you can promote your event but also make a good impression on web community.
Which is the most popular social networking site? The obvious answer that we get is ‘Facebook’. It offers everything – A bunch of applications, user friendly look, easy to use options and everything you need to connect to people. You can use Facebook professionally to promote your events. Make a Facebook Page, make it popular, post updates, connect with likeminded users and let your event reach your audience.
Short messages and a powerful app, called twitter. In less than 140 words you can make people know about what is happening on your side. How are you going to do event, the topic and venue and all other things related to event will be delivered right on the twitter page of your connected users.
While planning for an event, you can make a nice presentation about your company, your event or other ideas related to that and upload all this stuff on Slideshare. From there you can promote your event on various platforms and keep track of what users like most and what they don’t.
Probably, you would like to show your audience the event-time captured in the form of digital image. It will have a good effect on the web as people can see the images of events and can judge the quality of event. You can use Flickr as an image sharing platform.
Making an event video and sharing it to the users, is another nice thing you can do on web. You can post your event videos on YouTube, the biggest video sharing site on the web, and let the world see it.
Explain thoroughly what is in your mind. Explain everything about your event. What people will get from it, what are the add-ons you are providing them, how easy it will be for them to attend it and what is the whole process? Write blog posts and articles about your company and event and spread it on the various communities to make people know about it.
It is very easy to start the activities, but to manage them systematically and to monitor the things that are happening in this vicious web-circle simultaneously is little bit tough. At this junction, you need an online event partner like Ayojak which will manage your events, create awareness around social media and will help in multiplying your audience.
